Safina Gatumbwe is happy to keep her family of 8 germ free!

Dear Romeo,

Safina Gatumbwe is a 36 year old mother of 7 children. She resides in Nawansenga B village, Iganga District in Uganda with her husband and children. Our baseline survey of Nawasenga B village indicated that the village had only one tippy tap, reflecting the poor state of sanitation in the village. When our crew got to her house Safina and her family were ready with local materials. Her children crowded us, eager to learn how to build a tippy tap. When the tippy tap was complete and working, Safina showed each of her children how to wash their hands and they were all excited.  She expressed her gratitude to Uganda Village Project and their donors for assisting her community in putting up tippy taps in her village.  She is happy that now her children will be able to easily clean their hands. Thank you Romeo for providing Safina with a tippy tap for her family!
