A grandmother purchases nets for her granchildren

Namuyonga Edith
Dear Joel,

Namuyonga is a 55 year old grandmother to 4 children who resides in the Bulumwaki village, Iganga district, Uganda. Edith says, “I have bought nets because one of the children fell sick from malaria earlier this year and it was recommended we buy a mosquito net for the children to sleep under. It prevents mosquitos from biting them.”

UVP sells the mosquito nets at an affordable price. Irene further explained, “I am unable to easily afford those at the market, their parents died from HIV, and I now have to look after them. With my little income from selling vegetables, at least I can afford UVP nets,” she said.

Namuyonga asked us to pass on a big thank you, Joel!
