Nangobi is 35 years old and resides in Bulamagi, Uganda, one of the villages covered by Uganda Village Project. Nangobi is a mother of 6 and has a little one on the way. She sells vegetables on the side of the road for a living.
Nangobi was very happy that she was given a chance to know her status,”The health centre is very far, and when they have outreaches like this one, a lot of more people get a chance to be tested as the services come to us at the village level, so we don’t have to go to town. Knowing your status is important.” Nangobi says, “I came to get tested to know my status and also prevent HIV for my unborn child and take the necessary precautions. Once I know my status I can plan well and take care of my children.”
Nangobi thanks you all for your generous support that provided a day of HIV/AIDS and STI tests for the entire village of Bulamagi!
