gave 10 for a mosquito net |
posted April 20, 2012

Namuwaya Edith is a 20 year old new mother of six month old girl Doreen, they reside in Butongole village, Uganda, a village that UVP has been working in for the past three years. Namuwaya sells vegetables on the road side while her husband is farmer.
When asked why she bought a net, she says , “I attended two malaria education sessions that UVP has held in our village and after the second one I had saved up enough money to buy a net. This area has many mosquito’s and therefore I learnt that using a net is a form of prevention and I appreciate that UVP subsidizes the nets. I am very grateful. Thank you.”
Namuwaya asked us to pass on a big thank you to you Heather!
