gave 20 for a mosquito net |
posted May 21, 2012

Mirembe Edith is a 45 year old mother of five childdren, two of whom are Sarah and Maureen. They live in Namungalwe village, Uganda, a village that Uganda Village Project has been working in for the past two years.
When asked why she bought the net for her children, she says, “I attended two malaria education sessions that UVP held in our village, and my daughters were taught in school about malaria prevention and came home to tell me about it. We had some very old nets that we were not working well, so I saved up enough money to buy a net. I will buy more when I can. This area has many mosquitoes and I want to protect my children and myself from malaria. I appreciate that UVP subsidizes the nets. I am very grateful. Thank you.”
Thanks again for protecting Sarah and Maureen from malaria!
