Naigaga stayed strong and is now healthy

Thank you for providing fistula repair surgery to Naigaga, a 35 year old fro Uganda. See her story below:

“My name is Naigaga and I am 35 years old. I have suffered from a fistula for 11 years. After I got a fistula, everyone in my village who came to visit me advised me to commit suicide because they thought that I had been cursed and that it would be better to die than to live my whole life leaking urine. I was strong because the nurse had explained to me that this had been brought about due to prolonged labor. One day, Loy (UVP staff) came to see me because they had told her that I had this condition. She gave me the good news that I could be repaired. I have been repaired and I am so grateful and overjoyed. When I go back home, I am going back to become a fistula ambassador because I would like to help other women.
