Aisha is 37 years and lives in Idudi, a small town in the Iganga District of Uganda. 10 years ago, Aisha gave birth to her third child and thought that everything would happen smoothly, just like with her first two children. Unfortunately, she was in labor for a very long time and did not get to the health center in enough time because she and her husband did not have sufficient money to travel there quickly.
Aisha eventually managed to arrive and the doctor operated on her to save her child. Due to the lengthy childbirth, she developed obstetric fistula and she has had it ever since. Recently, thanks to your support through Uganda Village Project, Aisha was repaired — she is looking forward to going home to her children and husband.
Thank you, Akiko, for your support of Aisha and Uganda Village Project!
