Nakamini is one of the Uganda Village Project’s healthy villages located in the Iganga District of Uganda. Although this village is near a private health centre, most women couldn’t access family planning services because they didn’t have the money to pay for such services. Hence, they had to walk very long distances to go to the government health centre or choose to not receive these services at all.
Uganda Village Project was able to come to the village and conduct family planning outreach services because of your donation, Suzanne. The women of the village were grateful for your help. On the day of our first outreach, most of them arrived four hours before the scheduled time because they thought that they might miss out. Thank you for providing a service that the Nakamini women value tremendously.
