Sylvia is 36 years old and lives in the village of Nakamini in the Iganga district of Uganda. UVP, the Uganda Village Project, supports families in this community to maintain healthy and disease-free lifestyles. Sylvia has six children and wants her family to get tested for HIV/AIDS.
Sylvia and her family may be at risk because her husband, who had a second wife, refused to be tested previously. Sylvia is aware of the risks of HIV and sexually transmitted infections, but could not get her family tested without the help of UVP. With the support of UVP and her community, Sylvia and her family received tests for HIV/AIDS.
Thank you all for supporting Sylvia’s family and her community. UVP was able to provide the entire village with information and tests to ensure their well-being. Without your help, Sylvia would worry over her own health and her children’s safety. Thank you, again, for providing Sylvia and her community with the means to lead better, safer lives.
