Cured from fistula

SDC13307-1024x682
Dear Adam,

Safina is 25 years old and lives with her husband in the village of Buwaiswa in the Mayuge District of Uganda.

When Safina found out she was pregnant, she immediately went to the nearest health center and began attending antenatal care appointments. During these sessions, the nurse always told her about the importance of delivering in the health center.

When Safina’s labor pains started, her husband refused to take her to the health center and instead took her to the town’s traditional birth attendant. Although she was able to deliver the baby normally after two days of labor, she later realized that she was leaking urine. Safina had sustained a child birth injury called fistula. However, because of your support, Safina was able to receive fistula surgery after six months of leaking.

Thank you, Adam for helping Safina overcome this trying time!
