gave 60 for a fistula repair surgery |
posted February 2, 2012

I was married at the age of 17 and got pregnant two years later. The day I started having labor pains, my husband escorted me to the home of a traditional birth attendant. I spent five days having labor pains and eventually the baby came out, but he was not alive. After 2 days, I started leaking urine. I suffered during that time, my husband left me and I couldn’t fit in with people because I smelled.
Lucky for me, I was identified by a staff of Uganda Village Project who transported me to the fistula camp. They operated on me and it was successful. I am very grateful for the help given to me.
Thank you Kevin for giving Namuyomba, who resides in Uganda, a new life!
